our story, so far

Originally hailing from San Diego, Shirley and Cameron were like two ships passing in the night—until both flew to the snowy tundra known as Syracuse, NY. There, at one fateful Kentucky Derby bonfire in 2013, they crossed paths and their lives were never the same.

After three more years at Syracuse University, a year and a half of long-distance, and over a year of living with four people + one cat in a small Boerum Hill apartment, Cameron and Shirley moved into their own place by Prospect Park. Little did they know, life would throw them a curve ball. Early in the pandemic, a third member joined their family and, with Olive, the trifecta was complete.

While they were back in San Diego for the holidays, Cameron proposed on December 19, 2022 at the H Street viewpoint during a sunrise walk along the cliffs where they frequently strolled, including on one of their first dates.
